Hi my name is Roger Ahuja and I'm going to take a moment and show you how to create a rule in Outlook. First we're going to open up Outlook here. This is outlook 2,010 we're using. Go to File Go to Manage Rules and Alerts and we're going to create a new rule. The rule I want to create is whenever I get an email with the word testing in it, that it gets moved to the junk mail folder. So, we're going to select this here which says Move messages with specific words in the subject to a folder. And then down here we get to specify what those specific words are. You can have multiple specific words I'm just going to do the word testing right now. And then over here you can specify where you want to move it to. I want to move it to the junk mail folder and I can hit finish at this time and the rule has been created. I am going to rename this rule to be a little more intuitive. Move emails with "testing" in subject and then once I've done this, we're going to go over here in my inbox and I want to show you how this works. I already have an email here with the word testing. Now normally, the email would come in the rule would run and it would automatically move this. Because this email is already here I'm going to have to tell it to run the first time. So, we're going to right click here and go to rules and back to manage rules and alerts, I just want to select the rule here and tell it to run now. I'm going to highlight which rule and say run now. And there as you can see the email disappeared from here and its in the junk mail folder and that's it.
