Emergency Mode is a counterfeit debug browser designed to mislead users with the description informing the user their PC is infected after launching. The browser is similar to the real Internet Explorer browser, but it only has the back, forward, refresh and the cancel buttons and the site address bar. Once the user uses other browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and the real Internet Explorer. The debugger browser will pop up instead. The browser will display fake alerts if the user accesses any legitimate sites that will allow them to remove the fake browser. The Emergency Mode was installed through the fake antiviruses such as the fake AVG Anti-virus 2011, McAVG and other rogues with the AVG 8 interfaces.
