Bill Hilf joined Microsoft in 2004 and became their General Manager Of Platform Strategy at Microsoft, and director of Microsoft's work with open-source projects. He was previously employed with IBM, where he helped develop their work with Linux based projects.
He also founded a sports-based non-profit organization called High Five Hope, a charity for children which has been recognized and endorsed by Microsoft.
